SAND GRENADE is used as a clay substitute to impart thixotropic properties by maintaining optimum suspension and carrying capacity in drilling fluids without increasing solids loading. It is the polymer of choice for increasing viscosity in extended-reach and horizontal crossings, especially those crossings involving low annular velocities.
